Baseball Recap: Seattle Christian Victorious

On Friday, the Seattle Christian Warriors sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Cleveland Eagles. That's two games straight that the Warriors have won by just one run.

Eli Messer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Wyatt Wainscott, who scored a run and stole Three bases. while going 2-for-4. Will Aaby was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-1.

The victory made it two in a row for Seattle Christian and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Cleveland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Seattle Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against Klahowya at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup will give Klahowya their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season. As for Cleveland, they will head out on the road to challenge Kent-Meridian at 4:00 p.m. on March 21st.
