Volleyball Recap: Platte County Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Platte County, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Washington Wildcats on Saturday.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Platte County was: they took both sets by at least 17 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-4.

Kate Brunner paced Platte County's offense, picking up seven kills. Brunner were helped by Ella Cruce and Carissa Bacon, who contributed 12 assists each. Cruce was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Platte County is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Washington, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8-2.

Platte County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against De Soto on the 13th. As for Washington, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Blue Valley Southwest on the 13th.
