Basketball Recap: Central School Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Central School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 50-25 to the Briarfield Academy Rebels. While losing is never fun, the Pioneers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 283rd, while the Rebels are ranked 109th).

When it comes to explaining why Central School lost, don't look at Amanda Seekford. Despite the final result, she posted 12 points and five rebounds. Adalee Register was another key player, putting up six points.

Central School's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-12. As for Briarfield Academy, they pushed their record up to 12-2 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Central School wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 69-21 defeat against Riverdale Academy on the 11th. As for Briarfield Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 42-22 victory against Humphreys Academy on the 13th.
