Thursday just wasn't the day for Alcorn Central's offense. They lost 18-0 to the Nettleton Tigers on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Bears in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost six in a row.

Alcorn Central saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ty Whitten, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Alcorn Central's loss dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Nettleton, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-4.

Alcorn Central didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 9-0 defeat against Corinth on the 27th. As for Nettleton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 25-0 victory against Winona on the 27th.
