Softball Recap: Red Wing Wingers vs. Mankato West Scarlets
Red Wing fell victim to Mankato West and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They wound up on the wrong side of a tough 15-0 walloping at the hands of the Mankato West Scarlets. Red Wing has not had much luck with Mankato West recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Red Wing now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Mankato West, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Red Wing will take on Lake City at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Mankato West, they will head out on the road to challenge Le Sueur-Henderson at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Le Sueur-Henderson will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
