Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Franklin). They blew past the Connally Cadets 17-1 on Saturday. The win was nothing new for the Lions as they're now sitting on four straight.

Franklin pushed their record up to 10-2-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Connally, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Franklin Lions challenge Thrall Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Franklin's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so Thrall's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Connally, they will be taking part in a tournament against Troy at 2:16 p.m. on Saturday.
