Volleyball Recap: Perry Central's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Perry Central entered their tilt with South Spencer on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Rebels. That's more bragging rights for the Commodores, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Masen Labhart paced Perry Central's offense, picking up seven kills. Labhart got some help from Mya Litherland and her eight assists. Kaitlyn Goffinet controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Several Rebels players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Zoey Whitford, who had five kills and five digs.

Perry Central's record is now 17-4. As for South Spencer, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.

Perry Central has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Paoli on the 16th. As for South Spencer, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Tecumseh on the 16th.
