Basketball Recap: Kimball Jaguars vs. Ripon Indians
Kimball was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 56-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ripon Indians. The Jaguars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Indians apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Despite the loss, Kimball still got an impressive performance from Jaden Ryan, who posted 15 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Tristen DeBenedetti was another key player, putting up 11 points.
Marcus Madoski was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 26 points and 16 boards for Ripon. That makes it six consecutive games in which Madoski has scored at least a third of Ripon's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tanner Hickman, who put up eight points and ten rebounds.
Kimball's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Ripon, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-4.
Kimball didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 60-50 win against River Islands on the 13th. As for Ripon, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 62-55 defeat against Kennedy on the 13th.
