Basketball Game Preview: DePaul College Prep Rams vs. Loyola Academy Ramblers

The DePaul College Prep Rams will head out on the road to take on the Loyola Academy Ramblers at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

DePaul College Prep will bounce into Thursday's contest after beating Providence Catholic, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. DePaul College Prep secured a 48-43 W over Providence Catholic on Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rams.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Loyola Academy). They breezed by Naperville Central to the tune of 82-46 on Monday. The Ramblers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 games by 25 points or more this season.

Loyola Academy's win was their 25th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-2. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 31.5 points. As for DePaul College Prep, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

DePaul College Prep was taken down by Loyola Academy 68-28 in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. Can DePaul College Prep avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
