Preview: Achievement First Providence Falcons vs. Central Falls Warriors
The Achievement First Providence Falcons will head out on the road to challenge the Central Falls Warriors at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Achievement First Providence has struggled recently with six defeats in a row, while Central Falls will arrive with six straight wins.
Two weeks ago, Achievement First Providence ended up a good deal behind Paul Cuffee and lost 53-34.
Achievement First Providence's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Steven Rodriguez, who scored ten points, and Stephen Adedire who scored eight points.
Meanwhile, Central Falls didn't have too much trouble with Scituate at home on Thursday as they won 55-40.
Central Falls found their leader in underclassman Sire Hazard, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hazard has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Julian Ortiz, who scored 12 points along with four steals.
Achievement First Providence bumped their record down to 0-6 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Central Falls, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.
