Baseball Recap: Peniel Baptist Academy's Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

Peniel Baptist Academy had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 12-8 win over Non Varsity Opponent on Monday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Warriors considering their two-run performance the game before.

Layne Bagnall made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched 5.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. Bagnall was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-5. Peniel Baptist Academy is undefeated when Bagnall posts two or more stolen bases, but 2-11 otherwise.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jeremy Rae, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Preston Fields was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
