Basketball Recap: Orange Park Takes a Loss

Orange Park's tournament run continued when they took on Brunswick on Monday. The Orange Park Raiders were outmatched by the Brunswick Pirates and fell 72-43.

Martin Davis was her usual excellent self, putting up 14 points along with seven boards and five assists for Brunswick. Davis is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Lauryn Walker was another key player, posting ten points.

Orange Park's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Brunswick, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Orange Park will host Fleming Island at 7:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025. As for Brunswick, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Beach at 6:00 p.m.
