Basketball Recap: Palm Desert Aztecs vs. Palm Springs Indians

It was a good run, but the Palm Desert Aztecs unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 58-50 to Palm Springs. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Palm Desert in their matchups with the Indians: they've now lost four in a row.

Palm Desert's loss came despite strong showings from Coby Christensen and Jecorey Jones. Christensen scored 21 points along with five assists, while Jones scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. That was a full 42% of Palm Desert's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Kamrynn Nathan was another key contributor, scoring six points.

Palm Desert's defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 23-5. As for Palm Springs, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 18 of their last 19 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 26-2 record this season.

Palm Desert does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Palm Springs also has no future games currently scheduled.
