Callaway's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Westside Seminoles. The win was some much needed relief for the Cavaliers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Callaway was: they took both sets by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-15.

Callaway's victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-5. As for Westside, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

Callaway will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Heard County at 7:00 p.m. on September 9. After both having extra time off, Westside and Northeast will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
