Volleyball Recap: Montverde Academy Takes Down Taylor in a Playoff Battle

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Montverde Academy had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Taylor Wildcats as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The win was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on four straight.

Their offense was headlined by Mirea Thederahn and Bianca Baquerizo, who picked up eight kills apiece. They got some help from Kristina Vargas and her 20 assists.

Montverde Academy's victory bumped their record up to 16-5. As for Taylor, with the loss, they broke their six-match winning streak and moved their record to 18-9.

Looking ahead, Montverde Academy will challenge The Villages Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Taylor does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
