Football Recap: Mark Lapointe Lll Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Marshwood

There's no place like home for Noble, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 35-27 win over the Marshwood Hawks on Friday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Knights needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Noble to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mark Lapointe Lll, who threw for 177 yards and three touchdowns while completing 76.9% of his passes, and also rushed for 95 yards and one TD. Those 95 rushing yards gave Lapointe Lll a new career-high. Noble's leading receiver Aiden Keefe was Lapointe Lll's top target yet again, picking up 121 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Noble's victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 27.3 points over those games. As for Marshwood, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-2.

Coming up, Noble will square off against Sanford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Marshwood, they will challenge Falmouth at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Navigators' defense has only allowed 13.2 points per game this season, so the Hawks' offense will have their work cut out for them.
