Loyola adds another tournament title to its resume.

Anyone who showed up a bit late to the Pepsi Showdown title match at the Toyota Center likely missed the most important play of the match.

According to the Chicago Sun-Times, No. 3 Loyola Academy (Wilmette, Ill.) earned a 1-0 triumph over No. 5 Lyons (LaGrange, Ill.) thanks to Laura Gardner's goal just 2 minutes, 21 seconds into the contest.

The report stated that Carrie Schoenberger struck a corner kick that Gardner headed in from about 8 yards away.

Lyons was only able to put three shots on net against Loyola goalie Carly Stevens, who was named the tournament's MVP. It was Stevens' 11th shutout of the season.

Loyola also won the title two years ago, and Schoenberger and Gardner connected on a goal in that match as well.
