Baseball Recap: Shepherd Comes Up Short

Shepherd was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Little Cypress-Mauriceville Bears, falling 12-1. The Pirates were not able to make up for their loss to the Bears from their previous meeting back in March of 2023.

Shepherd now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Little Cypress-Mauriceville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-5.

Coming up, Shepherd will take on Tarkington at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Pirates' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Little Cypress-Mauriceville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hudson at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
