Newsome is 4-0 against Riverview Sarasota since February of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Newsome Wolves will challenge the Riverview Sarasota Rams at 8:00 p.m. Newsome will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.

Newsome is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Sumner a 1-0 shutout. Given Wolves' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 117th, while the Stingrays are ranked 270th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Newsome's one-goal win came courtesy of Luca Savino, who's now up to 18 this season.

Meanwhile, Riverview Sarasota's game on Thursday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 win over Venice. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rams.

Riverview Sarasota's victory bumped their record up to 7-8-2. As for Newsome, they are also on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season.

Newsome took their win against Riverview Sarasota in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 by a conclusive 4-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Newsome since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
