Volleyball Recap: Spencer Takes a Loss

Spencer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Bloomer Blackhawks.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-11, 25-15.

Carmen Krause paced Spencer's offense, picking up six kills. Krause got some help from Chloe Timm and her eight assists. Lydia Lau controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Leading Bloomer to victory were Brielle Revoir and Miah Yohnk. Revoir had five aces and four digs, while Yohnk had six digs and two aces. Those five aces gave Revoir a new career-high.

Spencer's loss dropped their record down to 9-19. As for Bloomer, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-15 record this season.

Spencer didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Abbotsford on the 21st. As for Bloomer, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Fall Creek on the 23rd.
