SS Seward extended their winning streak to four on Friday, bumping them up to 4-1. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 victory over the Tri-Valley Bears. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-0 last Monday.

As for Tri-Valley, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss they have suffered since May 13, 2025.

For Tri-Valley's part, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andrew Kelly, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that Kelly has hit this season. Another was Thomas Verbert, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Coming up, Tri-Valley will look to defend their home field on Monday against Chapel Field Christian at 4:30 p.m. SS Seward will be paying especially close attention to Tri-Valley's contest: after Tri-Valley faces off against Ellenville, they'll take on SS Seward again at 4:30 p.m. on the 13th.
