Recap: Pequannock Golden Panthers vs. North Warren Regional Patriots
The Pequannock Golden Panthers had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They claimed a resounding 27-0 win over North Warren Regional at home. The result was nothing new for Pequannock, who have now won three matches by 25 points or more so far this season.
Pequannock can attribute much of their success to Mikey Horgan, who rushed for 80 yards and two touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Angelo Cundiff, who rushed for 72 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries.
Pequannock has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. As for North Warren Regional, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Pequannock will be playing in front of their home fans against Lakeland Regional at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New Jersey (Lakeland Regional is ranked 116th, while Pequannock is ranked 138th). North Warren Regional does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
