Basketball Game Preview: St. Marys Bears vs. Nemaha Central Thunder

St. Marys is on a six-game streak of home wins, while Nemaha Central is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The St. Marys Bears will host the Nemaha Central Thunder on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

St. Marys came up short against Holton on Friday, falling 60-40.

Meanwhile, Nemaha Central was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 44-39 to Silver Lake.

St. Marys' loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Nemaha Central, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-5.

St. Marys beat Nemaha Central 36-29 in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Will St. Marys repeat their success, or does Nemaha Central have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
