Basketball Recap: Rincon/University Takes a Loss

Rincon/University was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were beaten by the Marana Tigers 80-51. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rangers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 67-62 last Friday.

Rincon/University's loss dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Marana, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rincon/University will venture away from home to challenge Tucson High Magnet School at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tucson High Magnet School will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Rincon/University surely won't give up without a fight. As for Marana, they will head out on the road to square off against Sunnyside at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Marana's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
