Recap: Community Baptist Conqueror vs. Shining Light Academy Knights
The Community Baptist Conqueror's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by Shining Light Academy 87-43. Community Baptist has not had much luck with Shining Light Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Shining Light Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jayden Adams led the charge by dropping a triple-double on 19 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists. The match was Adams' fourth in a row with at least ten points. Alik Lewis was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with 6 assists and 5 rebounds.
Community Baptist's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Shining Light Academy, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Community Baptist will take on Varsity Opponent at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Shining Light Academy, they will be playing at home against Lab University Prep Regional at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lab University Prep Regional will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 371st, while Shining Light Academy is ranked 34th).
