Basketball Recap: Whitney Drops Season-High Score on Robinson

Whitney scored the most points they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 66-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Robinson Rockets. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rockets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.

Landen Turnbo was his usual excellent self, putting up 16 points and seven rebounds for Robinson. That's the most points Turnbo has posted since back in November. The team also got some help courtesy of Jett Shade, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 11 points and seven rebounds.

This is the second loss in a row for Whitney and nudges their season record down to 4-4. As for Robinson, their victory bumped their record up to 6-11.

Whitney will challenge Burnet at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Robinson, they will take on Vanguard College Prep in a tournament on Thursday.
