Baseball Game Preview: Charlotte Country Day School Buccaneers vs. Providence Day Chargers

The Charlotte Country Day School Buccaneers will head out to challenge the Providence Day Chargers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses for Charlotte Country Day School and eight for Providence Day.

On Saturday, Charlotte Country Day School didn't have quite enough to beat Gaston Christian and fell 6-4. That's two games in a row now that the Buccaneers have lost by exactly two runs.

Mac Summerville was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was James Lowe, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

Meanwhile, Providence Day fell victim to Covenant Day and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions.

Providence Day's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Charlotte Country Day School, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-11.

Charlotte Country Day School couldn't quite get it done against Providence Day in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 as they fell 8-4. Can the Buccaneers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
