Softball Recap: Alvarado Indians vs. Kennedale Wildcats
Alvarado lost against Kennedale back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Indians lost 13-5 to the Wildcats. That's two games in a row now that the Indians have lost by exactly eight runs.
Kanyon Barlow was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. That triple was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Payton Slovak, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
Alvarado has been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-17 record this season. As for Kennedale, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-10-1.
We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Alvarado is set to face off against their familiar foe Ferris at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Kennedale will take on rival Life Waxahachie at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
