Recap: Kingwood Mustangs vs. Strake Jesuit Fighting Crusaders
On Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Kingwood beat Strake Jesuit 56-51.
When it comes to explaining why Strake Jesuit lost, one person who can't be blamed is Lucas Hobin. Despite the final result, he scored 23 points along with six rebounds. Jason Lin was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six assists.
Kingwood is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. As for Strake Jesuit, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kingwood will square off against King at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. King presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Kingwood in Texas (King is ranked 25th, while Kingwood is ranked 358th). Strake Jesuit's road trip will continue as they head out to face Alief Elsik at 7:00 p.m. on December 19th.
