Volleyball Recap: Timpanogos Takes a Loss

Timpanogos was the 3-1 winner over Hillcrest when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Timberwolves fell just short of the Huskies by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. While the Timberwolves didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Huskies 25-20 in the first set.

Timpanogos took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 20-25, 27-25, 19-25, 25-18, 15-10.

Despite the loss, Timpanogos saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Brecken Jorgenson had six digs and two aces. Jorgenson also set a new season-high mark in assists with 25.

Timpanogos now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Hillcrest, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Timpanogos will host Taylorsville at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hillcrest, they will face off against Olympus at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
