Baseball Recap: Jarrell Comes Up Short

Jarrell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 10-7 to the University Trojans.

Jarrell saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cole Hepler, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Those three RBI gave Hepler a new career-high. Jamari Livsey also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Jarrell's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for University, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Coming up, Jarrell will face off against Fredericksburg at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for University, they will challenge ISBL Austin at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. University is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.3 runs per game this season.
