Baseball Recap: J.P. Stevens Takes a Loss

After flying high against East Brunswick Vo-Tech on Wednesday, J.P. Stevens came back down to earth. The Hawks came up short against the Metuchen Bulldogs on Saturday, falling 14-8. The Hawks haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Chace Sullivan made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Arav Patel was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

J.P. Stevens' loss dropped their record down to 11-5-1. As for Metuchen, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-4.

J.P. Stevens has already played their next contest (against Edison), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Metuchen, they have also already played their next game, a 14-1 win against North Brunswick on the 2nd.
