With a playoff win on the line, Bishop McCort rose to the challenge on Friday. They claimed a resounding 39-6 victory over the Bald Eagle Area Eagles. The result was nothing new for the Crushers, who have now won nine matchups by 26 points or more so far this season.

Bishop McCort got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jon Delia out in front who picked up 84 receiving yards and a pair of TDs, and also rushed for 85 yards and one touchdown. Delia got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 56 yards. Bentley Bainey was another key player, rushing for nine yards and a pair of scores.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Bishop McCort was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 217 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 154 rushing yards in 13 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Bishop McCort didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Bainey and Josh Spontak.

Bishop McCort pushed their record up to 11-0 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 44.2 points over those games. As for Bald Eagle Area, they now have a losing record of 5-6.
