Clay Center is 8-2 against Marysville since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Tigers are taking a road trip to face off against the Bulldogs. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Last Tuesday, Clay Center sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over Abilene.

Meanwhile, Marysville had just enough and edged out Frankfort 10-8 on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

Clay Center is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.9 runs on average over those games. As for Marysville, their victory bumped their record up to 7-8.

Everything went Clay Center's way against Marysville when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Clay Center made off with a 12-2 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
