Penns Grove takes loss despite strong efforts from Ka'Ron Ceaser and Giomar Conrad

The Penns Grove Red Devils's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 66-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wildwood. Penns Grove has not had much luck with Wildwood recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Penns Grove's loss came despite strong showings from Giomar Conrad and Ka'Ron Ceaser. Conrad scored 21 points along with eight rebounds and six assists, while Ceaser scored 13 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Mr Peterson, who scored five points along with seven rebounds.

Brian Cunniff continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Wildwood, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 16 rebounds. Cunniff also posted two+ blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Junior Hans, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

Penns Grove has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season. As for Wildwood, their win bumped their record up to 10-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Penns Grove will take on Salem at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Wildwood will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Millville at 11:30 a.m. on January 27th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New Jersey (Millville is ranked 162nd, while Wildwood is ranked 157th).
