Baseball Recap: Camp Verde Comes Up Short

Camp Verde lost against Fountain Hills back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Camp Verde Cowboys lost 15-5 to the Fountain Hills Falcons. The Cowboys have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Camp Verde saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gunner Selting, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-4. Chase Dugan also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Camp Verde's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Fountain Hills, they pushed their record up to 5-1-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Camp Verde will take on Chino Valley at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fountain Hills, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when Fountain Hills Falcons face off against Scottsdale Christian Academy Eagles at 3:45 p.m. on March 18th. The match will give Scottsdale Christian Academy their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season.
