Volleyball Game Preview: Page Patriots vs. Blackman Blaze

The Page Patriots will take on the Blackman Blaze at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Page is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Tennessee's top teams: Siegel, who was ranked eighth at the time (Page was ranked fifth). The Patriots fell just short of the Stars by a score of 2-1 on Thursday.

Page actually scored more points across those three sets (58-53), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 25-22, 13-25, 15-11.

Carlos Hernandez put forth a good effort for the losing side as he had 13 digs and two assists. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 10.1 digs per game.

Meanwhile, Blackman didn't have quite enough to beat Page on Thursday and fell 2-1. The Blaze have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Page's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Blackman, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.
