Basketball Game Preview: Patton Panthers vs. Hendersonville Bearcats

Patton hasn't had much luck against Hendersonville recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Patton Panthers duke it out with the Hendersonville Bearcats at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Patton is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. Everything went their way against Chase on Friday as Patton made off with an 83-59 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Panthers have posted since November 18, 2024.

Meanwhile, Hendersonville waltzed into their contest on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They took down the Cavaliers 76-59. Given the Bearcats' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 238th, while the Cavaliers are ranked 525th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Hendersonville's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-6. As for Patton, their win bumped their record up to 6-10.

Patton came up short against Hendersonville when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 45-37. Can Patton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
