Northside - Pinetown waltzed into their game on Monday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They claimed a resounding 61-33 win over the Pamlico County Hurricanes. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Panthers had established a 20 point advantage.

Despite the defeat, Pamlico County saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Sydney Whitley-Reese almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine boards. Nazri Williams was another key player, putting up four points.

Northside - Pinetown's victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.4 points per game. As for Pamlico County, their loss ended an eight-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-3.
