Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Kenston Forest). They blew past the Amelia Academy Patriots 23-3 on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Kavaliers, who have now won 11 games by six  runs or more  so far this season.
 Brooklyn Thomas was a  major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Hayden Hudson (2029) was  incredible,  going a perfect 4-for-4 with four  runs, two  stolen bases,  and three  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Kelsey Marshall, who  went 1-for-2 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs.
 Kenston Forest  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 18  hits. That's the most  hits they've posted since back in March of 2024.
Kenston Forest has  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record  this season. The  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Amelia Academy,  they are  on  a  21-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.
 Coming up, Kenston Forest will host Isle of Wight Academy  at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. As for Amelia Academy, they will take on Brunswick Academy at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday. The Patriots' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Vikings have averaged an impressive 10.2  runs per game this season.
