Basketball Recap: Reagan Smith Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Alturas Prep

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Leadore, Taylor's Crossing was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Alturas Prep Pumas as the Taylor's Crossing Eagles made off with a 37-13 victory. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 22 points or more this season.

Taylor's Crossing got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Reagan Smith out in front who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten steals. Smith has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. Alexis Ellis was another key player, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 12 boards.

Taylor's Crossing smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Taylor's Crossing's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Alturas Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.

Taylor's Crossing will head out on the road to square off against American Heritage at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Alturas Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
