Softball Recap: Alta Comes Up Short

Alta was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 5-1 to the Gunnison Valley Bulldogs.

Alta saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addyson Brownell, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Alta's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Gunnison Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Alta will host Brighton at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The Hawks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bengals have averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season. As for Gunnison Valley, they will welcome Duchesne at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
