Baseball Recap: Capital Takes a Loss

Capital lost against Eagle back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Golden Eagles fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 5-4. The Golden Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Maddox Weight was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. He also hit a triple, marking his first of the season.

Capital's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Eagle, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-6.

Capital didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 7-3 loss against Kuna on the 11th. As for Eagle, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 6-3 victory against Centennial on the 11th.
