Basketball Recap: Windward Comes Up Short

Windward blew Campbell Hall out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Campbell Hall got their revenge. The Wildcats fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 60-57. Wildcats fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Vikings since Friday.

Campbell Hall found their leader in sophomore Chris Paul II, who went 7-for-15 on his way to 21 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Paul II has scored at least a third of the Vikings' points. Another player making a difference was Christian Rogers, who shot 42% from the field to rack up 13 points.

Windward has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-9 record this season. As for Campbell Hall, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 11-12 record.

Coming up, Windward will head out on the road to take on Viewpoint at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Campbell Hall, they will host Cathedral Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Vikings' defense better be ready for this one: the Dons have averaged an impressive 62 points per game this season.
