Baseball Recap: Eldorado Eagles vs. Edwards County Lions

Eldorado had lost 16 straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 3-12 to make it 17. They came up short against the Edwards County Lions, falling 12-0. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 11-1 to the Lions when the teams met back in May of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Eldorado saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Matthew Grisham, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double.

As for Edwards County, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-5. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by nine runs or more this season.

On Edwards County's side, Jackson Hensley made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Those nine strikeouts gave Hensley a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

In other batting news, Drew Roosevelt was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Dylan Prather was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
