Football Recap: Elk Grove Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Elk Grove fell victim to Monterey Trail and their airtight defense on Friday. They came up short against the Mustangs, falling 20-0. The loss continues a trend for the Thundering Herd in their meetings with the Mustangs: they've now lost four in a row.

Monterey Trail's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Odie Jefferson, who rushed for 108 yards and one touchdown. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden Love, who rushed for 55 yards and one score.

Elk Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Monterey Trail, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-2.

As of now, neither Elk Grove nor the Mustangs have any future games scheduled.
