Basketball Recap: Schaumburg Christian Drops Season-High Score on Hiawatha + How To Watch

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Schaumburg Christian). They enjoyed a cozy 67-52 win over the Hiawatha Hawks on Friday. The victory was familiar territory for the Conquerors, who have now won three games in a row.

Schaumburg Christian had a senior duo take command as Nathan Peterson shot 4-for-6 from beyond the arc and almost dropped a double-double with 24 points and nine boards and James Carey posted 11 points and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Peterson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Krystian Bogacz, who put up 12 points.

Schaumburg Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They are a perfect 3-0 when they've passed the ball that well.

Despite the loss, Hiawatha still got an impressive performance from Chris Korb, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and ten rebounds. Nick Rotstein was another key player, putting up six points and nine boards.

Schaumburg Christian now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Hiawatha, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Coming up, Schaumburg Christian will be home for the holidays to greet Mooseheart at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The contest will give the Conquerors their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Hiawatha, they will head out on the road to take on Faith Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Hawks will need to watch out since the Falcons have now posted at least 55 points in their last seven matchups.
