On Saturday, Alexandria faced Lake Charles College Prep in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Alexandria Trojans managed a 58-54 victory over the Lake Charles College Prep Trailblazers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Trojans.

It was another big night for Jordyn Johnson, who went 8 for 12 from beyond the arc on his way to 29 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Marcus Bolden, who posted ten points and six rebounds.

Several Trailblazers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Juriah Matthews, who put up 12 points. Evan Burns was another key player, putting up ten points.

Alexandria has been performing well recently as they've won 13 of their last 16 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season. As for Lake Charles College Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-4.

Alexandria will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Northwest at 6:30 p.m. As for Lake Charles College Prep, they are taking a road trip to challenge Cecilia at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
