Baseball Game Preview: Orange Panthers vs. Eastern Alamance Eagles

Orange has gone a perfect 8-0 against Eastern Alamance recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Panthers will square off against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Neither Orange nor Eastern Alamance posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

On Friday, Orange didn't have quite enough to beat Williams and fell 3-2. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kayden Bradsher made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Meanwhile, Eastern Alamance was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against Western Alamance, falling 7-1.

Eastern Alamance saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Conner Horner, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Eastern Alamance's loss dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Orange, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-11.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Orange has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.9 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Eastern Alamance struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.

Everything went Orange's way against Eastern Alamance when the teams last played back in May of 2024, as Orange made off with a 19-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
