Volleyball Recap: May River Sharks vs. Bluffton Bobcats
May River was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bluffton Bobcats. The Sharks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bobcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.
May River took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 21-25, 18-25, 25-20, 17-15.
May River's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Bluffton, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
May River has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Hanahan on the 29th. As for Bluffton, they will challenge Hilton Head Island at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
